Social and emotional learning rooted in Trauma Informed Care (SEL-TIC) is the process through which children and adults acquire and effectively apply the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions; cultivated understanding the mental health effects of trauma and the pair of ACEs. Social and emotional skills are critical to being a good student, citizen, and worker, and many risky behaviors (e.g., drug use, violence, bullying and dropping out) can be prevented or reduced when multiyear, integrated efforts are used.

Community Revitalization

We have partnered with State & Community Organizations to implement Community Enrichment Solutions (CES). Most notably our HRBII Project Safe Neighborhood Sub-Award with Leon County Sheriff Office. High Risk Behavior Immediate Intervention is a research pilot program developed by Kevin Warren and The LIFE Group, LLC. to "reduce violent crimes involving a gun in juveniles."   This solution, along with many others is focused on identifying root causes of community failures and deficiencies, and creating & cultivating sustainable community infrastructures. LIFE has experience developing after school programs, Job Training Partnerships and Expanding 501(c)3 foundations. Each partner and collaboration strives to create solutions that reverse negative trends, cultivate community characteristics and unite community authorities & citizens.

Grant Solutions have been a growing consulting request for LIFE. We provide program & curriculum development for newly won grants & government funded organizations. Consulting Florida's most influential & dedicated Youth Service providers such as Florida Coalition of Children & Families (One Voice IMPAACT) with DCF Agencies such as Fostering Success or private non-profits for professional athletes such as Ernie Sims Big Hits STARS Mentoring Academy, LIFE has vast experience with creating custom solutions to deliver Grant target outcomes. Service Outline

SELTIC HealthChecks are the first step to truly buying into becoming a Trauma Informed State. Each HealthCheck runs for a minimum of 10 hours. Size of the population undergoing the SELTIC HealthCheck will determine the maximum number of hours required. 

 

Each HealthCheck has a “Baseline Data Assessment” which ensures the minimum data levels are collected in order to produce a proper HealthCheck Report; each HealthCheck is customizable to ensure the unique pain-points and successes’s of any demographic are extrapolated.
